About Course

The course is mandatory for our colleagues who are dealing with neonatal imaging like radiologists, neonatologists and pediatricians!!

The course will cover the common hard and difficult scenarios in the daily work.

It will include:

  • Basics of radiographs
  • Screening and daily work imaging !!
  • Chest and abdominal radiographs.
  • Important congenital and neonatal life diseases.
  • Next steps and which modality with which scenario!!
  • Role of the different image modalities in the neonatal life.
  • Quizzes and active discussion with our expert instructors.

What Will You Learn?

  • Describe the various respiratory conditions affecting the neonate
  • Explain the importance of gestational age to the interpretation of radiographs
  • Identify the classical features of the more common conditions
  • Identify a number of frequently seen tubes or wires on paediatric radiographs
  • Recognise the possible complications of a misplaced tube
  • Identify common artefacts
  • Describe the variations in development that lead to congenital abnormalities and normal variants seen in neonates.
